With over two decades of experience in the golf industry, Tony has participated in many different types of golf events. Whether it was raising money for National Charitable Organizations; where Tony’s received numerous awards for his fundraising efforts, or participating in competitive golf tournaments for the Golf Channel’s AM Tour, his passion for the game is unequaled. Tony has also spent the past 32 years in the Facilities Management Industry, working with numerous Fortune 500 clients. His detailed and organized approach to business has enabled him to excel in numerous leadership positions. Tony and his partners are pleased to announce the formation of Professional Golf Planners of America, LLC., specializing in Golf Event Planning for Charities, Businesses, and Private events. Office Manager / Accountant
Denice Hollingsworth is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers as well as the National Directory of Registered Tax Return Preparers & Professionals. Her strong business acumen, in depth knowledge of GAAP, current tax law, excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills has allowed Denice to achieve success where ever she’s worked. Denice takes pride in being a success driven person and an instrument of growth for her employers. With an emphasis on strategic planning and profitability minded goals. Denice has joined the Professional Golf Planners of America staff as Office Manager / Accountant. Denice was introduced to the game of golf when she met her husband 39 years ago. She has been on numerous golf leagues and proudly enjoys sharing her first (and only) Hole-In-One was on hole #12 at Cherry Creek. Her interests also include participating in charitable events, cooking, gardening and spending quality time with family, friends, her husband Mike and their rescue dog Max.
Health & Safety Coordinator
With over 40 years of management experience George brings a considerable amount of business acumen to the PGPA team. His ability to motivate others, manage budgets and work with many different types of business processes makes him an ideal fit for the organization. As a golfer, Georges’ passion for the game can best be identified by the amount of rounds he plays each year.
Maureen was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. After getting her feet wet in the Golf Merchandising business in Michigan, she moved to Chicago to work for the PGA of America. Heading up the corporate golf sales for the tent holders at the ‘99 PGA Championship at Medinah. From Chicago to South Florida, Maureen continued her love of the golf business at The Bear’s Club and Loblolly Pines (both private clubs) where she managed their golf shops.
New Business Development Manager
Meeka Hughes is a born entrepreneur, starting her first business at the age of 16 years old. She has more than 20 years in the legal field as a legal assistant and knows the importance of client service. Meeka also has significant experience in the event planning industry, where she thrives on developing innovative techniques that enhances an event’s experience. She’s an exceptionally creative person who has often been called the “hostess with the mostest!” As a novice golfer, she thoroughly enjoys playing and learning about the game. Her interests also include floral design, cooking, creative food displays, gardening, and spending time with family, including her two sons Eric, a full-time Engineer in the autonomous vehicle sector, and Nicholas, a third-year student studying Cyber Security and an avid writer.
Troy has spent more than 17 years in the property maintenance industry. This enabled him to develop many skills that transition well into golf event planning and execution. A detail-oriented person, Troy’s organizational skills ensures each PGPA event goes off without a hitch. A married father of over 25 years, Troy’s is blessed with a wonderful wife and two grown boys. Recording his one and only hole in one at the early age of 14 years old, which set-in motion a lifelong love for the game of golf. An avid vintage car person, Troy can usually be found working on one his many vehicles in his spare time.
Digital Marketing Manager
Nicole Madigan was born and raised in Michigan. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies and Creative writing. Following her time at Western Michigan, Nicole attended Cleary University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and New Media in 2014. Currently, she works full time as an Innovation Project Manager. Her interests including writing, reading, yoga, and learning to play golf. Nicole will be responsible for PGPA’s digital footprint and online messaging.
Gift & Prize Manager
Diane is recently retired after spending more than 35 years managing many tiers of facility operations in the automotive industry. Her creative talents and ideas acquired from her past work experiences in the fundraising arena makes her a perfect fit with the PGPA team. Much like her dedication and loyalty in her previous career, Diane’s artistic skills and efforts with PGPA golf outings helps create a special atmosphere for its clients. A true team player, Diane’s commitment to PGPA makes her an integral member of the team. Also an avid golfer Diane enjoys playing golf in many different states and marvels at the beauty of the golf courses.
John was introduced to golf at the age of five and has loved the game ever since. He joins the Professional Golf Planners of America staff, bringing over 30 years of experience in the Golf and Event Industries. From his days at the Illinois Golf Center in Downtown Chicago to coordinating the grand opening celebration of the new Boys and Girls Club in Detroit, John takes great pride in exceeding his client’s expectations. John’s passions include time with his family (wife Amy, son Andrew, and daughter Katie), hiking (especially in Northern Michigan), hanging out at his family’s goat farm, baseball, and, of course, golfing.
Erin Kerr is a graduate (2018) of Oakland University with a Marketing and Entrepreneurship Degree. She played for the Women’s D1 Golf team and spent most of her hours working on her game. She first picked up a club when she was 15 years old after spending most of her life in music and playing her violin/fiddle. She immediately fell in love with every aspect of the game. Although she continued both violin and golf into college, she knew her true passion is with golf. Her determined mindset and hard work allowed her to make the team at Oakland University, where most would say she lived at the course instead of in a dorm. After graduating, she continues to play competitive golf and still has a strong desire to get her game to the best it can be. Erin took a full time position after graduation as a Recruiter for a staffing and recruiting company in Troy, MI and has been there for almost two years now. Outside of work, Erin loves to workout, be with friends and family, and play golf! Some of the best aspects of golf are relationships, camaraderie, and continuous improvements and she looks forward to bringing that mindset and love of the game to others through PGPA!
